It might not really show off on these pictures, but this red shirt is fabulous! The colour, the fit, the details... certainly one of my favourite items. Actually most of my best finds are vintage, although I hate the smell of vintage stores and well most of the time going through the racks and piles of clothes disgusts me, I always find great treasures and I leave with a very satisfied feeling.

INDIVIDUALS - NATURE'S CHILD A show filled with designs by students from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.

GENERATION 12 - IROTSUYA by HANNA SIWECKI Hanna is one of the graduates from Artez who showed her collection -called 'Network'- at AIFW during the Generation 12 show. Although I usually hate orange coloured items, this look is just perfect. Another aspect I really like in this collection is the use of plexiglass parts.

GENERATION 12 - YONA VAN MANSFELD showed her ‘Elusive clashing’ collection, which is based on contrasting elements: colour contrasts and a clash between modern and ornamented fashion.

FRANS MOLENAAR PRIJS 2011 - ANNE BOSMAN was inspired by emperors and kings, as well as baby clothes.

FRANS MOLENAAR PRIJS 2011 - MARIUS OP 'T EYNDE was inspired by cycling and the control of body and mind. Marius' collection was definitely my favourite, a collection with many futuristic & graphic prints. Simple classic, but surprisingly modern.

FRANS MOLENAAR PRIJS 2011 - MAGNUS DEKKER the winner of the Frans Molenaar award; 10.000 euro which he can use to further develop as an independent designer. Magnus’ collection was all about contradictions, inspired by hysterical soccer fans and the flags of their country. He showed colourful, voluminous designs with several flag prints. This navajo inspired look is my favourite, I love the entire look!

SAGE & IVY one of the highlights during AIFW. Alexia van Engelen showed her by water inspired collection called hemisphere ON water! Since they built a catwalk under water, it was like the models were walking on water. The feminine collection, the water, the sun, the models and the music created the perfect picture together... Goosebumps all over!

One of the greatest shows to attend during AIFW was definitely the 'Brazilian Summer flavours' show from Hunkemöller. Sexy & flirty girls showing the new Spring/Summer 2012 collection in a double show; seductive lingerie and exotic beachwear. Everything was just right; the collection, the performing & the looks of the models and the final with Kim Feenstra during Beyonce's "Run the World" song. Not to mention the music and atmosphere during the show, I just wanted get off my ass and dance. I also added a video to give you guys a better impression and you can also see me sitting frontrow with and thanks to Debbie at 1.25!

I was about to throw away some ugly ass bangles when I thought I could also renew them very easily! I just took some leather and jeans rest fabrics, cut them in strings and wrapped them around the bangles. I only glued the beginning and end of the strings so I can easily remove them when I want to use some other fabrics. Et Voilà, I have some 'new' bangles without spending a dime!

This is the outfit that I wore on the first day of AIFW, a day that didn't start very well... I had like 10 minutes to choose an outfit because of the shitty weather ruining my plans, I cut my shirt, missed my train, my hair got ruined by rain & wind. ugh. Fortunately I was still on time since fashion shows NEVER start on time!

As I was slithering my way to & through Amsterdam I noticed some people were looking at my leggings like they saw an actual snake haha. Although probably a lot of people won't dig this trend, I think snakeskin prints are the new leopard prints. So you better get used to it! ~~Kiddin'~~! Will you be sporting this trend?

In addition to women's fashion, there is also a section for menswear which includes top brand clothing such as Diesel jeans and Fred Perry shirts as well as mens fashion trainers.

Winde Rienstra, where fashion meets art. The public was blown away by Winde's handcrafted designs and this collection was definitely my favourite as well. I can't wait to see more from this designer!

Sara Longoria -one of the models of ANTM cycle 16- opened the show for Gomes Esser Design. Designers Aleyda Gomes and Denise Esser presented their collection 'The Perfection of Imperfection', a concept about a powerful, driven and passionate woman who faced love and betrayal. A collection with a surrealistic and futuristic signature by combining fur, leather, metal and innovative solar panels. An intriguing show that blew the audience away. I loved the metal accessories, the golden hair hairstyles and the use of asymmetry,(faux) fur & leather.

Thursday I attended AIFW, I started off with the shows from Roya Hesam and ZEM. Roya Hesam showed us her Spring/Summer 2012 collection called 'Facing Skills', a minimalistic but feminine collection consisting of airy and flowing fabrics in soft colours. I loved the look with the black high waisted hotpants and the pastel yellow blazer!

Remember when I posted this outfit laying on the floor and I said I had my doubts about the jacket? Well I decided it was time to say goodbye! I truly love it, it's fantastic but it's just too big for me. It might not really show on the pictures since I'm holding my shoulders back, but it makes me feel like a giant female bodybuilder haha. So when it makes me feel like that, I'll probably won't wear it as much as it should be worn... a lot!! Bummer, the hunt for a jacket like this is on again!
I went shopping yesterday and finally bought my first sandals and bikini this year. Normally I buy a shit load of bikinis. Reason; I want to wear another bikini every day of my summer holiday. Since I'm not going on a summer holiday this year I didn't have the urge, my bank account is very grateful!

One day your melting in the sun and the next day your freezing in the rain... That's the weather in The Netherlands!! I don't mind actually because I'm stuck behind my laptop trying to write my thesis and doing research for Barcelona. I had a job interview this morning concerning a parttime job in Barcelona and I got it. Everything is arranged now, I'm counting the days until my departure... Mixed feelings, I hate saying goodbye but I also can't wait to get the hell outta here!

I finally succeeded in curling my hair with a straightener! I don't know why my hair has so much trouble with curly hair styles, the other times my hair just stayed straight and I didn't do anything else! Unruly hair... After my job interview I made some time for a new outfit post, meet one of my favourite tees at the moment! I know it's been a while; time flies, but where does it go? Must be a part of getting older! Speaking of getting older; it's my Birthday this Saturday, I'm turning 23 but I decided I'm turning 18 ;)

Don't know what to do with your old blazers? Make a waistcoat! Simply take an oversized blazer and remove the sleeves. A great way to spice up your festival outfit and it's that easy! I also stitched the armholes for a neat finish, but that isn't always necessary depending on the style you prefer and the fabric.

DIY // HEX NUT BRACELETS.

A while ago I found this amazing DIY on HonestlyWTF and I decided to try it out myself. It was my intention to make a bracelet with different sizes of hex nuts but that made it look sloppy, so I made them both with only small hex nuts. I still have some hex nuts left, so maybe I'll try to make a necklace with the hex nuts in different sizes.

Here is what you need:

- 3 strands of twine (I only wanted to use leather -which was a little more difficult to find- but you can also use cotton twine etc.)

- 18 small brass hex nuts in the colour you prefer

Hold the 3 strands together and make a knot about 3 centimeters from the top, then start braiding. After 3 centimeter or more -depending on the total length you prefer- you start adding the hex nuts to the braiding process. Pull the left strand through a hex nut and turn it over the strand in the middle, then do the same with the right strand and repeat this with the 16 other hex nuts. When you're finished with adding the hex nuts you braid what's left of the strands until about 3 centimers from te bottom and make a knot.

Last monday Living Social launched in The Netherlands and they introduced us with it's activities while enjoying a delicious breakfast at restaurant Witteveen in Amsterdam! You can find great deals in your city at LivingSocial. Afterwards I went to Noordermarkt & Waterloopplein for some vintage shopping in Amsterdam. Didn't find the perfect Levi's shorts -so that hunt is still on-, but I did find some other nice items which I'll show you soon. When I came home I noticed my yellow blazer was totally ripped at my elbows / arms. Bummer, I hope River Island is willing to fix this since I only worn it twice!

A while ago Zalando contacted me and asked me if I was interested in doing a review, I knew the webshop from TV but never ordered there before. Since they sell a lot of nice brands like S'nob, Jeffrey Campbell, Vero Moda, Wildfox, United Nude & gorgeous shoes, I got interested. I decided to order some all stars from converse for my jungle trips in Mexico, but I had to cancel that holiday -yesterday, finally!- because of the break up. However I suprisingly got addicted to these all stars and I actually where them a lot at the moment, who would've thought that?! Not me, nor my friends... They were like "where are your heels?" and "what's next, vans?" haha! I had a great shopping experience at Zalando; no shipping or returning costs (every webshop should do that!!), really fast delivery and great service. Zalando also offers international shipping. What do you want more?

Welcome to Diesel Island; Land of the Stupid & Home of the Brave. Diesel always had and still has the greatest campaigns! Diesel Island is the follow up on the Be Stupid campaign, where Diesel welcomes you to a tropical utopia where you can be as 'stupid' as you want to be! Nothing else but jammin' on crazy ass guitars all day, where can I check in?!

Yesterday I went to Diesel's showroom to see the new collection, which will hit the stores next week. It felt like old times, when I was a big sucker for brands like Diesel. My favourite item is -how can it not be?!- the leather jacket!

So it seems like blogger is finally working proper again, although some of my comments are missing! Nuff said about the blogger issues, let's talk about shoes... The good news is that I finally found the perfect pair of blue heels... The bad news is that they didn't fit me! They're way too big and standing was not a problem at all, but when I walked my feet would flip out of the shoes everytime I took a step. So after trying everything; soles, paper and what so ever I realized they were never going to fit me and I could only wear them if I didn't need to walk haha. After keeping them a few months in my room, just to look at them standing there being gorgeous and to try them on in front of the mirror... I decided it was time to sell them, so I did and I'm still a bit sad about it. If you ever want to get rid off these gorgeous heels in a size 6/39, please contact me!

A while ago I went to the launch of the Sam Friday brandstore in Amsterdam. They did a really great thing with the launch; first we got to see a show in De Uitkijk, one of Amsterdam’s most authentic theatres, where the models showed Sam Friday Intimates on film and in real life. Great concept! I enjoyed it so much that I went to see the show twice haha. Afterwards the models escorted the guests to the backside of the theatre that was connected to the store. The store looked really great and it felt like shopping in your own bedroom. I'm really excited about the brand, I'll definitely come back to get my own Sam Friday intimates soon! For now I'll leave you with some pictures, I also made a video but somehow it won't play...

Sorry for the lack of updates! I was on holiday for a week and forgot to take my laptop with me... Yeah I'm a real chaotic last minute packer. I hate packing luggage! It will be a real disaster when I'm moving to Barcelona haha!

I think you can guess my favourite piece... It's the leather jumpsuit by Marloes Blaas of course! It would be a perfect addition to my closet, unfortunately I can't afford it. Maybe it's a good idea for a DIY project, although with my sewing skills and lack of time it would probably take me a year or even longer haha. Now I'm going to get ready for the beach, Happy Easter to everybody!

This is what I was wearing to the press days from last week, after walking all day through Amsterdam my feet started to hurt -especially on Dam Square!- so I changed my wedges for my amigos after a while ;) Unfortunately besides college I also have to work to earn some bucks for my Barcelona plans so I couldn't attend all the fashion events from last week and I'll probably have to skip a lot in the future as well. I don't have to work today so I'm going to the opening of a new lingerie store called Sam Friday and the celebration of Filippa K.'s 10th anniversary! I'll keep you posted.

Last Tuesday I also went to Spice PR, this PR agency represents the best brands and their showroom looked amazing! A few brands they represent; ACNE, Surface to Air, Hugo Boss, Avelon, Monki, BVLGARI and Supertrash. It was great to see the collections from dutch designers Bas Kosters, Iris van Herpen, Ilja Visser and Jan Taminiau in real life from up close. My favourite pieces are the red wedges from surface to air, the clutch from BVLGARI and a coat from Snob which I tweeted about before. Which one is your favourite?

Tuesday I went to some PR agencies to see the new collections, the first one I visited was Oona. The people at Oona are always very welcoming and friendly, I want to thank them for that! You can see which brands really caught my eye, but the Dolfie shoes in leopard are definitely one of my favourites! Mark my words, they are going to be big ;)

And of course as a real sucker for leather I was almost drooling over the leather waistcoat from Karen Millen! What a fantastic piece! I'll keep you posted about the other press days.

Last Friday I was invited to the presentation of the new READY TO FISH_ Autumn Winter 11/12 collection called 'Escapism'. The Escapism collection is inspired by Cirque de Burlesque; a world of fantasy, magic, illusion, dreams and creativity. They translated this theme into a fantastic collection with graphic prints, paintbrushed jeans, chunky knits and asymmetrical shapes in the colours petrol, black, red and grey. What makes this collection so unique is the use of different textures, the asymmetry in almost every design and the special treatment the fabrics had. Like the knits that where hand-knitted by nuns in Italy!

Every first friday of the month READY TO FISH_ organises a 'Friday Afternoon', a little get together after work where friends, people from the industry, clients and fans can meet up in a nice environment. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but I wasn't really in the mood. My relationship ended after 5 years and it feels like 5 years down the toilet... No more Mexico this summer as well.... It feels like everytime I'm past a shitty phase in my life another one hits and I'm sick of it! I could write a lot about my feelings and frustration at the moment, but I'm not gonna bore you with that. I already have a new project in mind; Eat Party Shop. My own version of Eat Pray Love haha, I've been doing some research the past 2 days about temporary moving abroad. My first choice was New York, but since I'm too late for an exchange program it will be very difficult to get a visa and very expensive! So my other options are Barcelona, London or somewhere in Italy. I think I'm gonna learn Spanish in Barcelona first and of course party a lot, I remember when I was there last year and I had to cry because I had to leave this fantastic city... or I just didn't want to go back to my boring life haha. After that I'll come home to earn some money for my next trip... in Italy! Where I'm gonna learn Italian, eat the most delicious food, shop (I'll probably be broke the moment I set foot in a shop) and of course party again! What's the best city in Italy to go to? I'm thinking about Milan or Florence. I can't wait to leave! Has anyone done something like this before? Please tell me about it / share some tips!

Last Thursday I went to the Unlimited PR showroom for the exclusive blogger event they organized. It was organized very well, first they welcomed us with some drinks and showed the new make up trends performed by Elke Willemen from MAC. After that we could join the Pepe Jeans high tea in a Pepe Jeans look, make our own converse bag or shirt, shake some cocktails with Cointreau and see the new collections. I had a great day, thanks!

A while ago Settia contacted me and asked me if I wanted to 'model' for her without knowing what it's for. I also had to style myself for this shoot, dare to express in the way you dress. While I was at the shoot she still didn't tell me what the shoot was about, which made me feel a little awkward because I didn't know what to do haha. Afterwards she told me she wanted to catch me on frame at the moment I lost my self-confidence in insecurity. She used a really old analog camera for this shoot, some pictures are quite blurry but I actually like it and it was a nice experience.

Are you feeling the summervibes already? I am! I love that it's already light when I wake up and it's still light when I get home late! The sun has a great effect on my mood! I love the new collections and the new colour blocking trend! I've been looking for some blue pants and I finally found them at Zara, while I was trying it on I was wearing this jumper as well and I just loved the combination of cobalt blue and silver. I've always been a sucker for cobalt blue, but it has been suprisingly hard to find some great cobalt blue pieces every year if your wallet isn't unlimited filled... unfortunately!

Yesterday I attended the Monki SS11 party, while enjoying the wine and music we could shop the new SS11 collection with a 20% discount. The best part of these events is meeting other bloggers, we always have a great time with each other! After the Monki event we went to Bar Italia for some drinks, but I had trouble keeping my eyes open so I didn't stay very long. Can't wait for the next event!

Last monday I went to the launch of these golden heels by Annic van Wonderen from ILOVEFASHIONNEWS.COM and SHICK. Annic -who was inspired by Sex and the City- designed the shoes herself, affordable party heels for everyone. Dutch model Sylvia Geersen was the first one to receive these golden heels. I love the open heart detail above the heel, so cute! Annic looked very Sex and the City as well, she looked stunning in her dress from French Connection!

The launch was definitely a big succes; the food & champagne tasted great, Diva May Day showed us her DJ skills, everybody looked great, we got a very nice goodiebag including the launched shoes! A lot of dutch celebrities attended the launch as well, I even saw it on dutch television yesterday!

This was the outfit that I wore to the show from Hunkemoller at AIFW. I also found some pictures of myself from that day on styletoday and good2b. I was pretty tired, but I managed to smile a few times haha.

I think I've never posted an outfit with these jeans before, while they are actually my favourite pair of jeans! I love the colour and the fitting, it's perfect!! It's funny how things change, about four years ago I bought all my clothes from brands like G-star, Diesel, Miss Sixty, Fornarina and Replay... those would be my brands forever! Not! I wouldn't even know what their collections looks like at the moment. Back then I went to the same shops every week, now I mainly shop on the internet and like everywhere. I wonder what I'll be wearing 4 years from now... Hmmm Balmain and Burberry?! Muahaha!

So here it is, the show from SuperTrash by Olcay Gulsen. Everyone wanted to see that show and a lot of people showed up! It was so busy, it took more than one hour for everyone to find their seats! The guests from the front row didn't have to look hard for their seats though, their seats were held by girls in white tees with their names on it!

The show started with naturel, earthy colours and ended with dark grey & black colours. Olcay showed us a tough but feminine & sexy collection. I saw some great looks like the one with the multi coloured fur and leather pants, the beige jumpsuit and of course the long dark blue dress with the open back!! For those I wanted to walk down and rip them off the models haha. The show was really spectacular with the large screens, the closure by Olcay with fireworks and of course... the afterparty!! I'll show you some pictures of the afterparty soon.

I couldn't attend all the shows because I wasn't invited or I had to work, but it really was a dream come true for me!! So here is the outfit from the preview. I really love this jumpsuit from LnA, it has great details like the pocket on the breast and the zippers in front & on the back (not shown)... Only the annoying thing is that you totally have to undress yourself when you have to pee haha! But hey I'll survive ;)

The items showed in the preview post weren't new buys btw, I already bought them back in September / October. Maybe you can get the black River Island wedges via Asos?! The beige version of these are now available in the River Island stores, so I suggest you run to the store as soon as possible if you want them ;)

Don't you just love it when you receive a package like this?! It really felt like I was getting a present and who doesn't wanna get a present, even if it's from your own huh?! I think it's a really great service that My Wardrobe offers!

I'm always on the hunt for some perfect basic tees, this time I bought three basic tees from Forrest & Bob. The perfect tees to throw over your bikini in summer or underneath a cool blazer. I must say they are very sheer and they run a bit small, so I'm glad I ordered two sizes up because they fit perfectly now; not too wide nor too tight! They are now for sale at My Wardrobe and only cost € 12 or € 21,60, so get your hands on them quickly before they're out of stock again!

This is a fine price for these tees. I also own two T by Alexander Wang shirts and I'm not too happy with those shirts; you pay € 90 but you get the quality of a € 20 worthy shirt, that really pisses me off!

Don't get me wrong, because I love Alexander Wang's collection but I believe the price/quality ratio of those shirts is absolutely wrong! You obviously pay just for the brand and not the quality... in my opinion.

I've been listening to rolling in the deep from Adele all saturday and I'm still not sick of it. It was actually the version from Kim de Boer (The Voice of Holland) I was listening to. Last week I was invited to see the new SPRING / SUMMER 11 collection from River Island. Those who follow me on twitter know I was craving for 6 coats, but I already own lots of coats & jackets and when I bought the aviator jacket from Zara I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't buy anymore coats this year... Well I failed, I bought these 4 coats and I'm actually thinking of buying the other 2 coats I was craving for as well. That's the thing when I try to control my shopping manners,; one month I succeed in buying very less and the following month I'm losing it and I buy twice as much... Will I ever learn?!

I received a lot of compliments on this jacket and also the question where I got the jacket... The leather jacket from the preview and this post is from OH MY FROCK, a dynamic and passionate online fashion store. You can understand I was very delighted when Chiu from OH MY FROCK gave me the opportunity to choose my favourite item, they sell great fashion items with a nice twist... Perfect additions to my closet, but this leather jacket was definitely my favourite! DIY // LEATHER SHORTS.

How to make leather shorts in less than 5 minutes!! All you need is a pair of vintage leather pants in the colour you prefer and scissors.

I bought these red leather pants on Ebay, if you can't find them today you'll probably find them tomorrow.

1. I cut the pants a few centimeters above my knee.

2. I folded the bottom like 10 centimeters inwards, in order to create cuffs in the next step.

3. I folded 5 centimeters out; et voilà leather shorts with cuffs!

The leather is quite thick and therefore stable enough to stay folded. If the leather is thinner or if you want to be sure that the cuffs stay this way, you can always sew them to the pants.

I don't want diamonds, I want silver! Silver has always been my favourite, I love gold too but it doesn't suit me. Call me weird, but I don't like diamonds... Most of the time I think diamonds look cheap. There are some great pieces in the world however, but I can't afford those most of the time haha!

One of my favourite jewelry designers is Rachel Duister from Fashionology.nl. A while ago she had a special discount to celebrate the first anniversary of Fashionology.nl, so of course I ordered some jewelry again! I ordered the upper and lower armlet and the bird skull necklace, the moon necklace was a gift (if you read this; It's great, thank you!).

After searching, having doubts and researching I finally did it... I bought my first DSLR camera, a Canon EOS 550D!! I'm still tying to figure everything out, but I already took some shots of my business & mini cards!! I think the mini me's are really cute haha! What do you think?

I also took some outfit pictures last sunday (I'll post them later), but it wasn't such a big success. The colours on the pictures turned out quite different than in real life; lighter and brighter... not what I wanted! I just wanted the real colours. Maybe it was the selftimer? ISO? I don't know! Do you? I really need to get some photography lessons... when I have time!

PRESS DAYS: OONA.

Last Thursday Jony and I went to Oona to see the new collections of River Island, Marc Philippe Coudeyre, Avance, Urbanears, Monsieur Maison, Girls from Omsk and many more! The collection from River Island was my favourite and I also spotted a gorgeous dress from Marc Philippe Coudeyre. I had a great time at Oona, I enjoyed the delicious champagne and food and I really liked their open, personal and friendly approach! A special thanks goes out to Marie Lemaitre who invited us and showed us the collections that day, she was so sweet! I also met some new fashionbloggers at Oona and later on we had a dinnermeeting with some other bloggers as well, I had a fantastic day!! At the end we also got a goodiebag with a nice scarf from DEBT and a cute cap from s. Oliver. Now I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

LANVIN FOR H&M.

Here are some looks I like from the Lanvin for H&M collection. I'm not blown away by the collection so far, however in my opinion it's already way better than the previous collaboration with Sonia Rykiel... I love the T-shirts, hope to get my hands on them! What are your Lanvin for H&M cravings?

I remember buying this jacket... It cost me a fortune at that time (4,5 years ago), I went to the store everyday to check if it was still there and to see if I'd still love it. I did and after 2 months saving I finally went to the store to buy it!! A saleswoman told me I was the first one to buy that jacket, everybody loved that jacket but thought it was too expensive... Gosh I was so happy & proud when I left the store with this jacket!! I couldn't throw the jacket away year after year and now after 4,5 years I'm glad I didn't! Still love the jacket!

The winter sucks, because I can't make any outfit pictures during the week! It's dark when I leave my house in the morning and it's also dark when I come home in the evening... every single day. It sucks! This is also the reason why I'm showing you some pictures that were taken a while ago. And well it was about time I showed my aviator jacket!

I bought this jacket during my summer holiday in Albufeira and I think some people must have thought I was retarded or something. I was walking.. ahum skipping around in the store and saying: "OMG, OMG, OMG I need this jacket" over and over. Gosh I was so happy when I found it, the love made me blind at that moment because I think I've worn this jacket twice since. If this jacket was black, a bit longer and... just totally different it would have been just perfect for me though! Don't get me wrong I still think the jacket is great, but I don't know.. it's just not me somehow.

I hope the weather won't suck this saturday, because I need to make some pictures asap!
